On Veterans Day, November 11, 2013, Signature Healthcare of Nashville Rehabilitation and Wellness Center held a ceremony to celebrate and honor our veterans. Many of our patients, had served in the United States Military, or were present to honor a family member who has served. These were the branches of service that were represented at our ceremony: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army Reserve, Army Women’s Corps, Coast Guard, and a nurse who served our soldiers in Vietnam.
As our Signature family gathered together in our amphitheater room, we read Psalm 46 together, played Taps, shared a few wonderful stories about our patients service to our country; from the home-front, all the way to places like Germany, England, Korea, and Vietnam. After our Veterans Day prayer, we enjoyed a slice of patriotic cake with coffee and tea.
Pictured here is Retired Major Robert F. Hahn with his daughters Nickui and Tanya. “Bob” served in the Air Force for over 25 years. He was in the 353rd Fighter Group. He flew the P-51 Mustang as a Fighter Pilot during World War II, and was active in Germany, England, and Korea during his tenure in the United States Air Force.
